Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It!!!!! I couldn't wait for it to snow again that i could use this snow thrower. It works perfect and it's light-weight and not big and bulky like my old snow blower. The snow blower just glides thru the snow like it's nothing. It was very easy to use and very easy to assemble. I love this snow blower and i would definitely recommend it. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product It cleaned the driveway to the pavement well. Adjustable Shute is nice because you can adjust with minimal effort. Its lightweight and easy to maneuver. Started with minimal effort. LED lights were great for the dark driveway. It doesnt get through thicker, heavier snow well. But i think thats one difference between a thrower and blower. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gets The Job Done I received this product for free to test out. I have never used a big now thrower before and I'll never go without one again. Living in New England we get a lot of snow. I used to shovel, would take forever and was very back breaking. Not anymore. This product came in on a big truck. It was almost completely assembled other than putting on the chute. This was a bit difficult to make sure you had the right tool to removed the bolts and line the chute up with the holes. Once that was put on the product we assembled and ready to go. I like that it's not an oil mix blower. There is a separate compartment for both oil and the gas, I love that it has an electric start which makes it easier for it to start for me and I don't have the pull the pully too much. When i received this item we didn't have any snow and was worried that I wouldn't get a chance to review it but boy was I wrong. It came in right in time for our 16" Nor' Easter. With a snow storm like this it would usually take hours of clean up, clearing and days of not being able to move. With the snow thrower it literally took 2 separate passes and about 20 minutes each time to clear my driveway, sidewalk, and both neighbors side walks (they usually do mine during storms). The only downfall I would say is that sometimes the snow would get stuck in the tires and you had to kick it off. I'd take that over shoveling any day. Great product, easy to use and was powerful. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay product but would choose different model I received the Squall 208 XP snow thrower to review. I was really excited about it. Well, my husband and son were. On first inspection, it does not seem to be a heavy duty piece of equipment. I would expect more for the retail price. There is a good bit of plastic on it, and several times some of the pieces did come loose during use. It was easy to assemble but again didn't seem to be built to last which was a disappointment. We were able to use it today on a bit of snow that we got, and it did clear the snow well. The pull string mechanism is easy to work but also not very durable. If I were purchasing a snow blower/thrower, I would not recommend this one. I would look for one that was more durable, more metal, and also self-propelled if you live in an area that gets a lot of snow. This piece would be ok for light snow use. I hope this review is helpful. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for homeowners and easy to use! My husband plows and snowblows a lot in the winter. He compared the Squall 208 XP to an old Ariens snowblower we already own and to one of his friends, which is a Toro snowblower. The plusses - the size is great, not too big, not too small; it has headlights; it's powerful in heavy, wet snow. The minuses - it isn't self-propelled; the auger engagement handle needs longer connections to keep it in the handle - it comes out when using the snowblower. My husband said it if was self-propelled, he would have given it 5+ stars and a rave review. That being said, living in Maine, we get a LOT of snow and he used it the last two snowstorms we had. The most recent was very heavy, wet snow and the Squall 208 XP tore through it very well. The other snowblower we had, even self-propelled, kept stopping up.I got a chance to try out the Squall and it was very easy to use - our other snowblower is too bulky and hard for me to use. If you have a single driveway with a path to your front door, this is perfect! But if you have two driveways that aren't close together you may wish this was self-propelled (like our house), but I really loved the Squall! Kudos to MTD and Troy-Bilt!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Squall 208XP Snow Thrower Really happy with this purchase. I have used this snow thrower a couple times now since I got it a few weeks ago. The more snow you feed it the further it throws the snow. Even handled wet goopy snow that was 5 inches deep. Easy assembly. It was dumped in the middle of my driveway right by the road. Arrived on time but delivery was terrible. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Product This might be the most user friendly snow blower I have ever used. It comes almost fully assembled and was very easy to set up. You just need a socket wrench to put the chute onto the machine. Very easy, even for someone not handy like me. I also like the electric start. Makes it easier than having to pull a cord. It starts off seamlessly and on the first try! In regard to operation: Very easy to use. It seems very light, and the headlights are amazing! I was able to plow through the foot of snow we just got due to the nor'easter and was able to see everything. The snow cleared in minutes. I even tried on ice/wet snow and I had zero issues getting it done. The one issue I found was that snow seemed to stick to the wheels. It can cause some issues with mobility, but not enough where I would not recommend the unit. This snow thrower seems to be well built and makes living in the northeast a lot more bearable. It is not a huge unit, but is big enough to get what I need done in a fraction of the time as it would take with a shovel. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
