Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Mower Powers through the highest growth and roughest terrain. Took a bit to master the controls, but I get the mowing done in 1/3 the time it took with a lawn tractor. If the mower continues to give this great service over time, it will be the only mower I will ever own!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some unexpected quirks from a new machine I really think they need to put heavier ply casters on these machines, or at the very least build in a way to drive them off the shipping pallet without popping a caster which, unfortunately I did and it's subsequently been plugged. Not a big deal really, but more of a hmm, why didn't they think of putting heavier tires on there given a quarter inch sliver can pop a tire. Second issue is the bad oil sensor. After checking and rechecking the oil level every time before startup, the meter flashes the voltage, the hours, then 'lo oil.' I know it doesn't have low oil when it's at the top of the fill hash mark on the dipstick. The only thing that could be wrong is the oil sensor. Third issue. The battery isn't being charged off the flywheel because within 3 days of receiving my new mower I've already had to charge the battery for about 4 hours. Needless to say that this thing cuts flawlessly, but these issues so soon makes me think that quality control needs to be more vigilant, and that the shipping department staff need to be more aware of potential issues when these products get to the consumer so as to safeguard these investments. It runs like a champ, don't get me wrong, but I don't need to be charging a battery, replacing a tire, nor worried about an oil sensor 3 hours in.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Spindles Twice I have stripped with the left spindle and was unaware of the problem until it complicated the situation further. Everything was turning on the top of the deck but it was cutting poorly. The first time I caught a piece of chicken wire and I stopped and untangled the wire and went back to cutting. I then noticed that it wasn't cutting too well in the taller grass and found that it had fused the nut to the shaft. I had to buy the entire spindle even though I needed just the shaft and the nut. Next my wife was cutting and she went to load the unit back on the trailer and the blade and shaft fell from the deck. the pulley had cut the shaft into. She brought it to me and I went back to the yard and found the pulley. Again I am buying the whole spindle. The pulley strips out too easily and there is no way to know that it has happened until it is too late.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my zero turn mower Before I bought my Troy-Bilt zero turn mower, several people told I was going to enjoy mowing my grass. I thought they were a little touched in the head. Turns out, they were right. Though there are still many things I love more than mowing, I do enjoy it way more than I thought I would. I've trusted Troy-Bilt for many years and this zero turn mower has certainly lived up to my expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value I have never owned a Zero Turn Mower before and was concerned about my yard being uneven, but I have found it to be no problem after mowing just a couple of times to learn the proper procedure. I know it is a safety feature but I wished it didn't disengage the blades when I back up. I have owned it a couple of months now and am very satisfied with the cut quality and even more impressed with the time it has saved me to mow my yard and another property. I have and would recommend this mower to others again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Zero-Turn Riding Mower in the World Made my purchase before the mowing season in 2013 directly from Troy-Bilt even though I was concerned about the no return policy. Turns out I prefer the direct from the manufacturer purchase. Dealing with factory support and the factory authorized service dealer has been great and has allowed me to take over the maintenance myself and have involvement with my mower. In the first three years I had one minor problem that was covered under warranty. I have had four trouble free cutting seasons cutting south Louisiana grass which pretty much says it all. I think this is the best product in its class and would buy a Mustang 46 XP again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good mower I've had the mower for a couple of months now & feel like I can write an accurate review.... I really like the high HP to blade inch ratio and the larger front tires. The price was very good as well. This is not a commercial mower but for my needs, 1 acre of fairly even terrain, it's a great mower. I tend to research everything... and IMO is the best in it's class. I wanted a welded steel deck... but for that, it would cost a couple of thousand dollars. I just make sure and wash the deck off after each use. The only negative that I can think of is not being able to mow in reverse. But after several mowings, this doesn't seem to be a big issue. I would recommend the mower to others with similar properties.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little zero-turn rider I recently purchased a Troy-Bilt Zero Turn radius and have found the mower to be outstanding in the 16 hours of usage to date. The mower starts very efficiently and the mower is extremely quick and easy to navigate my 1.5 acres. The over all turning of the mower is nice and one should remember that mower turns more like a zero turn tractor mower than a handle driven mower. I've found this actually makes the mower easier to use, but if you've had a handle based zero turn, you will notice a difference.
