Rated 3 out of 5 by from A nightmare to clean. This is a great mower, plenty of power, great on hills, but a nightmare to clean. I gave the mower 4 stars for its performance and ability to cut steep hills. The cut is great; the mower never stalls, even in tall grass. The nightmare came when it was time to do a total clean, after the cut season. This mower gets grass caught everywhere, including inside both the front and rear drive areas. But was most alarming, using a hose to flush the bottom of the deck, is not advised. Just after 5 cuts (I got the mower late in the season) rust developed on the rear axle and rear drive axle gears. I had to remove the rear drive gears, wire brush them and paint them to prevent rust. Understandably, few people clean equipment like I do, but with all the areas subject to grass and moisture, this is not the mower for anyone who can't work on lawnmowers. The cover to protect the drive belts was packed with wet smelly grass, as a result of using a hose to flush the deck. I will strictly be using compressed air, to clean this mower. I would recommend this mower for its ability to cut grass on hills and other rough terrain. I would not recommend this mower for those who can't disassemble and repair mowers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TB XP 450 On first mow, the grass & weeds were knee high and nothing, just nothing that this mower couldn't mulch into tiny particles. It left no clumps of unmulched grass anywhere on the acre mow. On that first mow, I was a bit concerned at the gas use, but later found that it was only because of the heavy load. The appearance of the cut lawn is head & shoulders above the cut from previous mowers. A number of things were of concern: 1: There is massive leakage of cut grass when set up to mulch. It leaks from every opening, ending up covering the top of the mower deck in a thick mat.. Finally sealed each and every opening with silicone sealant and screwed closed the side and rear discharge openings. Performs much better after sealing the deck. 2: The 1 or 2 pull guarantee to start the mower is misleading. Yes, when cold, the mower starts on one pull. When operated for awhile and is hot, one can pull 5 - 10 times before it starts. All in all, this is a BEAST of a mower. The 4WD is superb for any hills and the hand controls allow any walking speed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Chokes up badly on wet grass I bought the TB410 XP a little over a year ago. I liked it pretty well as far as the four wheel drive goes, but it is under powered and chokes up badly with heavy/wet grass.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mows great I was a little disappointed with this mower. I have bought rear wheel and front wheel drive mowers in the past and indeed I thought 4 wheel would be better. I had better luck with the rear wheel

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent performance Bought this two months ago and it was a great choice. Starts as advertised -- two pulls when cold, one when hot! 4 wheel drive works perfectly -- although the RWD is most effective as FWD does not have enough weight forward to work by itself except on level surfaces. Very pleased with the quality and evenness of the cut. Overall a great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Mower I Have Had!!! After several other branded mowers I finally found the TB450 XP and it is the only one capable to cut my thick Bermuda lawn of over 1 acre. All others keep bogging down and cutting off. Not this one it keeps going going and going. 4 wheel drive also pulls this mower effortlessly through grass while others had to be physically pushed even with their self propelled feature. I say 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Walk behind 4x4 lawn mower I have been using my 4x4 for a couple of years. Starts immediately on first pull. Cuts all types of terrain with ease. Takes hills and slopes with ease. Front and rear wheel controls are easily operated during operations. Cutting heights are easy to raise and lower. Exceptional lawn mower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Self propelled mower I have had a mower for six months and it starts on the second pull. I find it very easy to walk behind and mow. I lovee the mulching that it does.
