Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best ever I am a 73 year old man and have been cutting grass all my life. I cut an acre of grass every week, and this mower saves me so much time and fuel. I have been using the Mustang for two years and it has been by far the best I ever used. I have only one suggestion and that is the tires could be a little larger. For the money you could't fine a better machine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for a small yard The maneuverability and slim design of this mower is great for our small yard full of flower beds and trees. It turns just a bit jerky in tighter turns. I was used to our old mower (different brand) that definitely had a smoother operation. It works perfectly in gentler turns and on straight-aways. The blade height is easy to adjust, seat is fairly comfortable, and even longer grass discharges in a nice arc vs clumping up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 34" ZT rider I live on a little over a quarter acre and mowed it for 20 + years with a walk behind mower. I tired of that and decided to get a rider. After reviewing multiple manufacturers and consumer reports I settled on the Troy-bilt 34" ZT. i purchased it new and received it in the middle of Apr 17. I have mowed my lawn 16 times since then. My biggest problem was getting familiar with the steering and turning on the turf. I have created more than one bare patch by trying to turn on a dime and too fast. Those spots are my fault and will grow back. I have since added the mulching kit, so I am no longer throwing clumps of grass out which makes the lawn look neater, helps the grass, and I do not have to rake. I wash it each time after use, let it dry in the sun and store in a shed. I am well pleased with the mower and its performance. The only regret with it is that it does not have a floating deck I have numerous high and low spots in the lawn, particularly around tree roots, and these cause scalping on the highs and un-mowed spots in the lows. A floating deck would not eliminate these problems, but I think it would lessen the effect. Another suggestion for Troy-bilt would be to make the gas level window more translucent, and add gas level markings. I find it difficult to see the gas level without removing the gas cap, Markings would also help in determining the amount of gas to add and prevent over-fill.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mustang Zero Turn Riding Mower The platform on my zero turn mower does not maintain a constant height off of the ground. I have to use cables to hold the mower blades up off the ground. Even then the wheels gouge the lawn when performing a turn. Consequently, the cutting performance is horrible. Grass is not cut evenly and uncut turf is common. Several shops have tried to correct the problem, but after mowing once, the platform collapses down.
