Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, great, mower Simple set up out of the box, quick starting, easy height adjustment, even a hose attachment to wash the underside after mowing. Replaced a 13 year old Troy Bilt that still starts on the first pull and expect another 12 years with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Mower My mower is 4 years old now has never failed to start on first or second pull. It cuts well and manuavers well. It has a Honda motor and I would buy another one. I also have a string trimmer that has performed just as admiringly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cuts great when it is running I bought this mower about 4 years ago from my local Lowes. The mower worked great the first year but I started having issues in year 2 with low power. I took it to a local small motor repair business and got it tuned up and again it worked great for the rest of the summer. The last two years however I have had nothing but problems with this mower. This mower has constant issues with the carburetor getting clogged, which causes the mower to start and then die almost immediately. I cleaned the carburetor three times last summer and have had to do so 4 times this summer. Now to be fair, my last Troy-Bilt mower lasted me 15 years and I never had to do this and only had it tuned up twice in that 15 years, so I am still loyal to Troy-Bilt. I will be purchasing a new mower in a few weeks though as I have become so frustrated with this one that it is not worth the time I have to spend stopping my lawn mowing to clean the carburetor. I would still recommend Troy-Bilt products, but definitely not this model unless somehow I just got one that was a lemon.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cuts way too short Every landscaper who walks across my lawn scolds me: "You're cutting your grass too short!" they all say. I reply, "Yeah, I know-- it's on the highest level!" They say, "no way. Show me your mower." After 5 minutes of tinkering, They give up and grunt at me. This has happened 3 times. Look, the unit's decent; I like it. I'd like a wider deck, but I like it. The mulching is decent, the running is decent. It starts first or second pull EVERY time... but the deck is too low, and there's nothing I can do about it. Since this is actually STRESSING the lawn I'm trying to be nice, this machine gets 2 stars. The specs say highest level is 3&12 inches? No way. More like 2 & 1/2, max. If anyone can help, I'm all ears.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lacking in self-propelled power My model is TB270XP which wasn't listed as a choice but I have owned several self-propelled mowers over the years and this mower is not as good as my Craftsmen or a LawnBoy in getting over my terraces. I've adjusted the tension on the drive cable. Many times the mower just stops on the slope. None of the other mowers ever did that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent mow I purchased this mower about 2 months ago, I have to say it’s the best mower I have ever owned, Starr’s right up on the first pull, the front wheel drive works beautifully. It cuts extremely well and easy to maneuver around my many trees in my yard. My only complaint is that it was shipped missing a rear wheel nut and I had to wait 6 days for it to arrive.. Customer service in my opinion should have overnighted the part so I could have started using the mower s week sooner.
