Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Snow Thrower I've ever owned I live off of a 17% grade, getting removal equipment is nearly impossible in heavy snow. This thrower runs right up the hill, cuts easily through snow waist deep. I can't say I've ever had a better thrower for the Minnesota winters

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I got this blower new in 2013. I wanted to like it but after a few heavy storms I realized its made for someplace with dry snow or little snow...first of all if the snow is wet then the blower will not throw it much past the end of the chute. Second if you need to use reverse, you might as well forget about it because reverse is slow as a snail, but if you try to muscle it, there is no neutral so you have to fight the drivetrain. And, if its really heavy snow reverse won't pull the machine, so its basically useless. Its really frustrating. The good part is the machine starts every time within a few pulls, and I've been running it for five years now without any issues except for a new spark plug and a few shear pins.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands down the best snow blower I have ever owned This is my fourth season with this product and it hasn’t let me down yet. I love the tracks because it enables me to drive up my deck stairs and clear it off plus it pulls me so I don’t have to push it along. The engine starts one pull every time and I do use stablizer which is a must. Excellent machine and I would buy another one in a minute.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great snowblower for heavy wet snow. I bought this when I bought a house with over 100ft of driveway. It clears it quickly and efficiently. The electric start works great turning over the cold engine in a few seconds (as long as you keep up with your maintenance). I've accidentally run over the Sunday edition of the local paper that was burried in the snow, This machine didn't even bat an eye at it. It just scooped it up, shredded it and spit it out in a slushy confetti. This beast is worth every penny and has more than paid for itself in the 9 years I have had it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super Traction; Great Controls; needs more light I wish I had the chance to use my 2690XP more but as luck would have it, we have had two mild winters since I took delivery. This past winter I got about 4 hours of run-time on it and it performed great ! I have a relatively steep driveway and the 'hard molded tire' snow blower (1980's Toro 421) I had was not getting the job done any longer. The 2690XP climbs the driveway without drama. The controls are intuitive and easy to use once you get used to them. The snow is thrown clear of your path, but for at least the two semi-wet snows that we had, I wasn't impressed with the snow throwing distance. Two nits: 1) The incandescent light on the front needs to be replaced witha much brighter LED unit with many more lumens. I imagine that you could easily integrate a voltage rectifier and a high output/low wattage LED. At least offer it as an option... I have thought about doing this on my own... The parts are out there. 2) The photo online showed the unit with plastic polyurethane skids, but mine shipped with steel skids... However, I did call the support hotline and the kind support technician expedited a set of poly skids to me. Bravo, customer support.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slow, like a tank I owned this snow blower for 2 seasons now. Nothing can stop it, my first time using it we had over 2 feet of snow and we have a 220 foot driveway. With that said, because it's got tracks,it moves very slowly. Don't try to muscle it,you are just wasting your time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Price, Quality and Features I used the snow thrower 3 times this season (this is the first season I have owned it). I have a rather steep sloping driveway and needed a blower with tracks to hold the machine back when going down hill and also to have the power to take it back up the driveway. It performed flawlessly this season doing both. I am pleased with the product and feel much safer on the driveway. I still need some practice on the turns but it did well. Would buy again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent machine I’ve used this machine for one New York winter. This product started with one pull every time. The schute controller works with ease with the thumb. The hand warmers keep my hands warm as expected. The track drive grips extremely well. The blower is very powerful. Works very well.
