Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality I have had my Pony tiller for well over 15 yrs and the only problem I have ever w/it was a bent shroud. Mechanically, it is extremely well-built, and this tiller, as well as otherTroy-Bilt products that we own, are made to last. This is not a common feature in most products these days. I would very highly recommend this tiller for anyonet for anyone who had a medium-> large garden. The Pony is a very apt name as this tiller truly is a work horse!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First One I Kept 40 years This Pony wants to jump and buck at times with you. It's so powerful it's hard to handle at times. I used it three times and next Spring, the carb was clogged and I had to swap the carb for a new one. It was cheaper than rebuilding one. I'm not sure the quality is as good at the old Troybilt tillers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good engine! I bought this earlier this year and I sure regret it. If the ground has not been broken in a few years forget it! The Pony will take off like a horse once the tines make contact with the earth. So, I had a neighbor come over with his ford tractor to plow it up for me, and then used the Pony and it will still take off on me if I go deeper than the 4" depth the ford tractor tilled up. Now that was in Spring. Just now tried to loosen the ground after pulling up everything but the strawberries and the same thing as before. I'm in pretty good shape, 6' 2" 214 lbs. and it's hard to till the ground that had been tilled earlier this year. I've tried it in gear or self-propelled and in neutral and get the same effect. I hate this tiller! It's might be ok in soft broken soil, but it's not worth a much in your average soil. I love my Toro Zero Turn "My Ride" it was a good investment. I HATE this tiller and will be putting it on craigslist next spring, or sooner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall Review for the Troybilt Pony tiller I have owned this Pony for 25 years. It is one great machine. It tills the ground so fine, you would think I was tilling sand. It just pulverizes the dirt. I have never replaced anything on my machine except for general maintenance. I would recommend that this Troybilt tiller is the best. There is no other brand that comparison wise comes close.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy, Rugged, Dependable I have owned and used Troybilt equipment for many years, first as a nurseryman and licensed landscape contractor in an earlier career, later as a homeowner who can't quit landscaping and gardening. With long handles for extra digging leverage, forward rotating tines and engine weight help propel the machine through even the hardest soils, while the sturdy tines ensure exceptional tilling depth. Although many engine brands have been represented in my tools and equipment usage over the years, my favorite remains Briggs and Stratton for its reliability and ease of operation.
