Rated 1 out of 5 by from Reverse does not work if submerged in soil My expectation of the reverse feature is, when I get to the end of the row, engaging reverse will walk the tiller backwards to assist in turning around. The problem is, if the tines are in the dirt, it will not backup. You have to throw your back out and pull it out of the dirt first. Also, you have to let go of the handle with 1 hand to engage the lever thus making it very difficult to operate. I did adjust the reverse cable tightness to the point just before the tines reverse without the lever engaged so it is definitely tight enough. I just spent 1 hour on the phone with support and got no solution. He said it was not designed to go in reverse if it was in the dirt. (what is the point then?) The level II then hung up when I asked for manager escalation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wished I had bought it sooner! For 2 seasons I borrowed my neighbor's old tiller. But since 2013 I have been a happy owner of the Colt FT ( wish I bought it sooner!). Product is priced well , performs excellent and very reliable, being now the 6th planting season. If every owner followed owner's manual I believe they would rate the Colt FT 5 star. It should be nicknamed "little Hoss". My only critique is when starting the engine.... Sometimes the recoil spring on the pull rope is "iced " and it jerks my shoulder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Machine Years ago I had a Troy Bilt Rear Tine Tiller which worked well. This little machine is an eager worker that really digs into the ground and easily turns over the soil. Powerful, need strong arms to keep it going where you want to go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong like bull! I have had this work horse over two years and three seasons. The performance of this tiller has far exceeded my expectations. I have tilled prior wooded areas with numerous roots etc and this machine worked strong. Yes, it takes a bit of strength to hold this bad boy through tough situations, but I’m a small 67 year old and I had little problem controlling the machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this R O C K S Just took it for a ride in my hand tilled HAND garden today. Hard pan clay based soil never was tilled before it made sugar consistency of the soil I hand tilled I was able to extend the "garden" 3' additional with this BEAST of a machine. WISH I bought it before I got adventurous to hand till the area DUH. Been a number of years since I used a garden tiller and that was a Troy Bilt in the 1980's This new machine will be in my shed if not tilling some patch of land on my property GREAT MACHINE

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent machine for your garden Researched front tine tillers for a long time and decided the Troy Bilt was the best one for me. The others had cheap plastic wheels and didn't have the side shields. Tiller goes nice and deep if you want it to. mixes in compost with ease. Solidly built, starts with one pull every time. This thing will last me for years to come. A great value especially compared to the other front tine tillers out there

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Machine Bought this machine and did a great job. My son used it in ground that has never been tilled and it dug right in with no problems. I tilled our garden in a third of the time it took me with my old tiller and it is great on fuel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ideal for small gardens. This tiller is great for small and mid size gardens. Has plenty of power to dig deep even in unturned soils. Set the foot bar low and let the tiller do the rest. Love the reverse feature. Allows you to back out of tight spots.
