The Colt™ FT garden rototiller features a powerful 208cc Troy-Bilt® OHV 4-cycle engine and patented Bolo® tines that cut through soil with ease, resulting in finely tilled, well-aerated soil. The Bolo curve design allows the tines to cut and dig at an offset angle for groundbreaking while the swept-back angle turns under the soil. With adjustable tilling widths, chain drive transmission and ability to till up to 7" deep, the Colt FT front-tine rototiller is designed for premium garden soil preparation.

Colt FT Garden Tiller is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 83.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, if tilled already This is a great tiller--if you're looking to till an area that has not been previously tilled, do not get a front tined tiller. This tiller is wonderful, as tillers go, but go for the Troy-Bilt rear tined tiller if you're working on a new garden.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Troy Bilt Tiller Bought it at Lowe's, based partially on discussions with sales personnel. Brought it home, pulled out the instructions had it together in less than 30 minutes. Put in the oil provided and gassed it up. Set the choke and throttle and pulled the starter rope--fired up the first time. Have used it a lot to till soil up for garden, seeding and putting in blueberries--works great, fires up on first pull--did flood it once and had to wait about 10 minutes and then it fired up on first pull. Have the full line of TB attachments for my gas weedeater so am a believer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Garden Tiller I have owned this tiller for a few years. It has always been a great little machine. One thing as in all small engine machines, put in Stabil (Blue). This keeps the small ports clog free. Has started first pull all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Owner I hate buying something that I will use exactly once per year but my >30 yo previous tiller died. This was reasonably straight forward to assemble. It is heavier than my previous one but pretty standard weight for current tillers with appropriate safety covers. I put the tines on the widest setting and it performed well with no difficulty turning over reasonably packed dirt. Aside from weight it maneuvers well and is pretty easy to keep directed in a straight line. Blades are easy to free from brush. Can't comment about durability given that I only got it last month....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First tiller owned I had a hard time starting it the first time but it got better after each use. We try to find jobs to do with it. We own a lot of TroyBilt garden and yard tools. Best ever tools to purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Tiller I bought my Colt FT tiller in 2002. I used it to dig up irrigation valves at Bellevue Center in Bellevue Tennessee. It worked great in the hard Tennessee dirt. I try to work smarter not harder. I have used it in my garden ever since. My tiller is left outside all year long. I do have a big blue plastic bucket over the motor, so I don't have to clean the rust off the fly wheel when I want to start it. That only happened one year. Every year before I try to start it I change the oil. I dump out the old gas if any is left in the tank, put in new gas, and just a few pulls, maybe three, it starts up. This year I even lent it out to two friends so they could do there garden also. I only changed the spark plug once about four years ago. I great tiller, it really does the job. Ted Kularski
