Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Do not buy this product I have had nothing but problems with it. Today it just froze up on me after a couple of years of use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money I've had this trimmer for about 2 months. Have to go to the hardware store to get them to replace the string- the head gets so tight I can't replace it. The gas cap is hard to get on straight and fuel leaks. And now I can't even get the useless waste of machinery started.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mine is a lemon I bought this at a local HW store a little over a year ago because my in laws gave me a gift card and I was looking to upgrade from a small inexpensive, curved shaft weed eater back to a straight shaft that would accept attachments I already had (from a craftsman weed eater that I had for about 10 years). The gift card was $50 so I felt like I was getting a good deal on a more capable tool. I used it the day I brought it home - it started right up and ran strong. The first time I shut it off it would not start back up. I went back to my little cheapo and finished my yard work. I thought maybe I flooded it by accident when restarting. The next week I tried to start it and it wouldn't start at all - no matter what I did. Used my cheapo again....repeat and repeat. (I drain and run the fuel out of my 2 cycle equipment after I use them.) I put it away in my shed where I keep all my tools and I continued to use my cheapo for the remainder of the season. Out of sight out of mind. At the beginning of this season I tried to get it running again. It worked!! Well, for about 15 minutes then it died again. I put a new spark plug in it....nothing. Now my cheapo has died. Which, given how cheap it was and how long I used it, I was not surprised. I wouldn't recommend this at all. I probably won't ever consider another troy bilt 2 cycle tool. I've had 4 cycle tools from Troy Bilt (lawn mowers) that I was happy with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Follow Instructions..It Will Last!! I've had my Troy Bilt weed eater going on 8 years now. I've started it, per instructions, every single time. Used gas and oil mixed exactly as recommended, and always put it up in the winter with stabil. I am just now putting a new spark plug in it and it really doesn't need it. I've cleaned the carburetor, and at least once a season I buy the premix gas/oil combo just to spoil it a little. I also crank it myself and use the tiller attachment for my flower beds and for planting grass seed. I wouldn't buy anything else. I'm just sad that my Lowe's isn't carrying them in the store anymore!! I have to order them online. No big deal right now. Mine is still running strong. I love Troy Bilt!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of junkp I bought this piece of junk last summer. Hard to start and won't run. Absolutely zero power. Frustrates me ever time I try to use. Got it out today for the first time this Spring and was reminded again how sorry it is. I am done. Gonna go buy one that works and will never buy another Troybilt product. Should have guessed after reading the unbelievable starting instructions on it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will not stay running I bought this a few weeks ago, used it once for about 20min. Turned it off drained the gas ,,now trying to start it takes a half hour of going through the procedure, I get it started runs but the minute I give it throttle it cuts out. A waste .I am not happy ,!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from problem this is the second one i have owned & it will be the last. after working well for a couple of months now it will only keep running when the choke is half on which is the same thing the last one of these i owned did. i feel there is an ongoing problem with this product that is not getting adressed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is durable, small but powerful little engine I bought this several years ago and it still does a great job.
