Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than I thought I went to many merchants never thought ease of a Troy=Bilt Self Propelled would be so comfortable. My time of mowing the grass went down to 50%

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving my mower I have never owned a self propelled mower before this one, and I'll never own anything but from now on. My old mower was a hard starter after it warmed up, so I love the fact that my Troy-Bilt starts on the first pull every time. I'm very glad I decided on the larger rear wheels, as my back yard is ruff and this mower doesn't bounce around like my old one did. Rear bag is easy to remove and replace. I would recommend Troy-Bilt, and this mower to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy I have a Troybilt rider mower that has given up the ghost. My family had purchased this mower to get us through the weekend to mow our three acres while the rider is going to get fixed. The grass was a bit outta hand after a good spring and lots of Western N.Y., rain. The mower just pushed through with out much problem. Although it does "clog" up a bit while in self-propelled gear. It goes a bit too fast. But even in the really thick grass it did not stall once. Good power and easy to use. We would recomend it. Just dont try mowing three acres of hill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You have started something with this mower! I am so happy with this purchase! This is the first brand new mower I have had in years and it was well worth the wait. I have had used, my neighbor’s mower, and rentals, everything but a new mower. I used to think mowing the lawn was a necessary evil that came with every summer, like shoveling snow in the winter. My attitude towards mowing was reflected in my lawn. It was a mixture of weeds, crabgrass, and nutsedge. Now that I have this new Troy-Built with a Honda engine I actually look forward to mowing the lawn. I have taken courses and done much reading about lawn care, I am not an expert yet but I plan to be in a few years. I am determined to have a lush green lawn and have given myself three years to accomplish this. This all came about with my purchase of a Troy-Built mower. One final thing, when it comes to starting this mower it starts with a half, not a full, but a half a pull and I am off. Amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not my first Troy Bilt This is the second mower I have ever owned!! My first one lasted 13 years! Overall the ease of setting it up right out of the box is fantastic! The first cuts of course are always the best, this has held its own though and has not let me down!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 21" TB240 Self--Propelled Mower Have owned this mower for six weeks, (mowed my yard three times) and have been very pleased so far. The mower required little assembly out of the box, oil was provided with the mower as well as a package of Sta-Bil which was very convenient. All I had to do was put gas in the tank. The Honda engine started on the second pull. The mower is light and easy to use. The variable speed drive control takes getting used to, but I like it. I would recommend this mower as a very good value for the price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leaves trails of grass, bag only fills in front 4th time will be this weekend and then it may well be returned. I like the mower over all. It's very easy to start and I like the variable speed. Those are the pros. There are unfortunately more cons than pros - we are both disappointed (especially me since my husband usually does edging and weed whacking and then I mow. A big yard.) It doesn't pick up all the grass it cuts. At first we thought the grass was too high, and it was high the first 2 times with all the rain we had. Last weekend the grass was its regular height, yet the mower left trails on the side of every row I did. I finally started mowing at least 6" over what I had already mowed with the rest uncut grass. That seemed to help. Took a whole lot longer, but it seemed to help. Extra 30 minutes mowing cancels that out, though. Even worse is that the grass doesn't go to the back of the bag, and it certainly doesn't go to the top. I nudge the bag with my foot, it seems to be only half full, I keep mowing, and at the end of that row grass is just in clumps. Stop, pull off the bag - it's overflowing in the front yet empty in the back. So guess what? Go OVER that row. Again. The one that I already mowed over 6" over what was already cut. So all in all we are disappointed, especially for the money we paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mower Oil was included with product. Assembly was easy. Started on first pull. The Honda engine is very quiet. Grass looked really nice after first cut. Glad I chose this mower. My only concern is with changing the oil. There is no drain, you have to siphon. I am concerned over time with the sediment in the crank case that would usually drain out that the siphon will not be able to remove. I guess time will tell! The variable speed works well. I would purchase a Troy-Bilt again.
