Rated 4 out of 5 by from Finally working great The secret to operate this attachment is to make several passes, each one a little deeper. I edged 100' in 10 minutes. Make sure the engine is warmed up before starting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ok but rounds out the cable Inside the Trimmer So, I recently bought a new Edging attachment for my two stroke troy-built trimmer. I put it on and about 30' of sidewalk in I took it off to check out the connection and i noticed that the connection was starting to get rounded out and stripped. I immediately took it off and put my regular weed trimmer back on. I am completely disappointed. I would NOT buy this ever again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Design flaw in the shaft This edger works well but I use it about 15 minutes per week and in approx 15 months have had a problem with the set screw in the head at the end of the shaft. The only mechanism that accounts for the torque resulting from twisting of the cable inside the shaft is a set screw that threads into the thin wall of the pipe through which the cable runs. The wall of the pipe cannot be more than 1/16-3/32". Not many threads available and with the vibration and twisting as the machine functions, these threads were destroyed way too soon. Great machine, poor design on this situation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Edger attachment. Works OK, doesn't last I have had two of these now. One lasted a year. The next lasted 3 weeks. The set screw that attaches the head to the shaft comes loose easily, gets stripped and cannot be fixed. The trimmer attachment works fine. The edger works until the set screw comes loose then the head vibrates and rotates on the shaft and the unit will not work. Good idea, but flimsy design and manufacture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LE 720 Edger attachment I have had this edger for three seasons but I had never used a power edger before so I had nothing to compare this expierience with. Assembly was pretty simple and the use is very straight forward. It did take a bit of adjustment on my technique to get the best results from this tool. My lawn looked as though it had never been edged before, so the areas to be trimmed were pretty thick the first time or two I used the edger. I soon realized that it was best to make a shallowere initial cut and follow up with a second deeper fianl cut. After the first two uses, where I established a groove, I can cut as deep as I want in one pass now. This attachment does seem to labor the trimmer motor (TB22) a bit and being too aggressive can "bog down" the trimmer. I find that just taking my time works best and saves labor in the long run. Excellent attachment, great results.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Part Support Inadequacy I've used this edger for several years, and the hard plastic/rubber blade cover wore thru and fell off. Somehow this part is currently invalid or unavailable, even though the model is still for sale. Its been a good edger, sturdy, still working great, but I shouldn't have to buy a new one because a plastic part wore thru. But that's what I'm going to do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Used Commerically I used this edger commercially for 1 year but now it is starting to fall apart. I think that this attachment would be great for a homeowner and I think it would last a long time. Works great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Functional Unit I recently picked up this attachment and have found it to work well for my application. This is NOT a 3 hp dedicated edger that will plow through anything. The first time I used it it took some patience to allow the relatively low power unit to dig out the edge without bogging it down. Once the edge was established I went over it 2 more times and I am sure in the future keeping it looking great will be quick and easy. The guide on the wheel is basically useless and I just let the blade go down as far as it would and used it against the concrete for a guide. I only have a few hundred linear feet of sidewalk / driveway to maintain and this seems to be a good fit for me. If I had much more I would look for something bigger.
