Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not impressed. Well, although I have had no problems with this mower, note that I gave it only 3 stars. Of course I only had it for 7 weeks, so ask me in 3 years whether I love or hate this lawn mower. Although I have had no trouble with it in the 7 times that I've used it, and although it starts up right away, I am uneasy about the slight fluctuations in the motor's RPM. I chatted with Tech Support and they told me to make sure the gas was fresh (it is and I always used gas stabilizer), to make sure the spark plug wire was firmly attached (it was), and to make sure the spark plug was gapped at 0.030 inch (it was at 0.028 inch), so I re-gapped it to exactly 0.030 inch. This made no difference, and the lawn mower continues to perform well but the engine does not run at a constant speed, and if you can hear it, it must be fluctuating by a good amount of RPM. Now it does not flutter so low that you think it's going to stall, but that's still not comforting. So after the summer season, when I can do without a lawn mower for more than 10 days or so, I will take it in to an authorized Troy-Bilt repair shop. It is warrantied for 2 years, so there's no hurry. But the mere fact that I have to go through this trouble is why I only gave it 3 stars. Another complaint that I have is that it not only doesn't suck up the few leaves that may be on the lawn in front of the mower, it actually blows them aside as you mow. Therefore, you can't get a clean looking lawn after mowing. And I have the deck on a high setting since I like to cut my grass with a full look.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dependable so far minor glitches. pretty good mower. the power drive belt came off with not that much use. air filter cover comes off a little easy . lost one somehow. Wish it was a little better design on both. but otherwise the mower runs good.
