Rated 1 out of 5 by from This one is a lemon The cultivator is 14 months old, I used it last year for an hour to till my small veggie garden. Ran the gas dry and stored it away for the winter. Last month I gassed it up and cultivated the garden, there was a slight burning smell, then I saw red pieces of plastic coming out of the machine and shut it down. I called Troy-Belt and was told I had to take it to a service center. The first service center said they no longer touch or carry Troy-Belt, I will not tell you there other comments. I found a place that services Troy-Belt and after 3 weeks I got my cultivator back. They told me it didn't look like the rewind mechanism was put together correctly at the factory. I used the cultivator yesterday for 1 hour and again smelled something burning and small red pieces of plastic shooting out. I called the service center today and will be bringing it back to them for a second time. Before it is serviced for a second time, I believe this cultivator is a lemon and I should be reimbursed the money that I payed for it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Warranty no good. Lowe’s even worse Purchased this from Lowe’s less than 1 year ago. Tried to start machine and there was zero compression when pulling starter rope. Lowe’s very resistant to help. Wanted me to sign agreement to pay for repair. I refused. Agreed to have discussions whenever cost determined. 1 week later Lowe’s called and said machine ready. Upon arriving I had to pay for repairs. After 1 hour of arguments I finally paid. Repair ticket said starter prongs stuck and require lubricating. Said this was part of general service. I asked Lowe’s to show me how lubricate or show me where to find instructions. They could not. 2 year warranty from Troy Built is useless. Lowe’s is useless. No more Troy Built or Lowe’s for me when purchasing gardening equipment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It only worked 1 time It worked 1 time on a small job before the rope starter stopped working. Worst product design ive ever seen because you have to take the whole thing apart to get to it. It has horrible mobility and now i want my money back. 1 time!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from looks good ,prior to use bought this unit 1 year ago, it has never worked right, harder than heck to start, owners manual is a joke, no replacements parts list. inside the fuel tank a lot of debris from the black hose line, what ever was coated on it released into the fuel tank and most likely into the carb,, dont buy it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke down twice Something inside this machine keeps breaking. You can't see it or get to it without complete teardown. It has to do with the rope starter that will not work. This machine is junk!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small but mighty Bought last spring to replace another brand. Starts easily with pull rope but can also use drill to turn over and start engine. Makes gardening easier.
