Product Reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective Rear Height Adjustment I have the exact same issue as the previous reviewer. The rear axle height adjustment arm is bent and rubbing on the rear wheel. The three lowest cutting levels can't be locked into at all. I'm extremely disappointed, I don't how this could have possibly passed the most basic QA inspection. The nose coming from the adjustment arm rubbing is annoying and the friction all but cancels out the self propelled feature.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rear Axle Height adjuster Similar to the other two reviews, I just unpacked my TB270XP and the rear axle height adjuster is bent, won't lock into place and is rubbing against the rear wheel. Very unsatisfied. Will try to return to Home Depot but I ordered in on 4/22, it was delivered on 4/29 and I just open the carton today. I totally don't recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TB270XP Excellent Mower! I did extensive research on self-propelled mowers before ordering this one Our mower arrived in a box with oil & assembly instructions. Put it together, checked blade for tightness, poured in oil & gas, pulled crank rope three times started and mowed six times since. NO problems here! ALL parts as they should be.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Plastic adjustments and bad rear axle. I just received this mower and was so excited about the specs and what it offered for it's price. When I received it, I was surprised that Troy-Bilt "built for life" product had cheap plastic hold for both the front and rear axle adjustments. It seems like those will probably fail within the first couple years of use. Secondly, upon trying to adjust the rear axle height, I noticed that the lever was bent so badly that it barely misses rubbing against the wheel. Another disappointment for what could be a great mower. Cheaper mowers have some of these very basic things figured out and I'm starting to wish I would have just gone that route. I haven't even been able to start it up yet since I want to contact customer support before putting any fluids into it. I've been on hold for about 20 minutes and have yet to speak with a person. Very frustrating and disappointing...
