Rated 1 out of 5 by from not much good if this is similiar with the TB575SS, I would not recommend it. I bought this several years ago, and it has been nothing but trouble. hard to start from day one. takes at least 1/2 hour trying to start. 80 percent the clutch will not engage, just spinning when u pull rope.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TB575EC I bought my Troybilt line trimmer a couple of years ago because I own a Troybilt Pony rototiller that I am happy with (before MTD took over). The line trimmer was difficult to start from day one and the line feeder does not work well as you have to slam it (not tap it) several times before it feeds line. Even after running and warming up for a while, it still is difficult to start. My rototiller starts on 2 pulls every time! This weekend the head broke and the shaft head gear assembly stripped. I am debating on replacing the parts or buying a different brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely dissapointed I purchased this unit a few years back and it worked great, so I purchased a few ATTACHMENTS. This year I could ndot start the unit and after many tries and a many a cuss word, I gave yp and took it to a repair dealer. I was informed that the compression was shot and the best thing I could do was throw the unit in the trash and buy another one for your attachmnets or even a different manufacturer. My investment is too expensive to jetteson the attacmnents so I I will have to reinvest in a new unit! I really though thst Troy Products were quality but I guess I was wrong. A real shame as the 4cycle units is convienient. I have a 2 cycle Homelite that still runs but choose not to use it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor starting and trimmer head terrible I owned a troy bilt line trimmer 10 years ago and finally retired it for the tb575ec. The old one always started on first or second pull. The tb575 is very hard to start and usually takes 10 to 20 pulls to start using their instructions. The line breaks inside the head constantly and disassembling the head and clearing the line is a major pain. Would not recommend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fuel shut off valve. I purchased a TB539EC and after it would no longer start bought a TB575EC. I finally figured out the fuel in the carburetor is the problem. If you added a fuel shut off so that we can turn off the fuel, let it run dry, and I think it might stop the problem.
