Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Mower for the Money I retired my old craftsman mower, and went shopping for my replacement. After looking thru the specs, reading quite a few reviews, I went to look over the list of three contenders in my price range. I went to each store, looked the mowers over, tried sitting on them, ease of reaching controls, and for smooth operation of levers and peddles. I chose the 42' Bronco mower, and I'm glad I did! It has more horsepower then the other two contenders, cut a level lawn on a hilly piece of land, and my back didn't hurt when I was done! The higher back seat was really nice! The mower has a mow in reverse feature that many do not have, but as it states. Be very careful that no children or animals are near you when using this feature. Oil changes are simple, and a piece of drain hose is supplied in the owners packet. Just slip one end over the drain plus and put a container under the other end. no big messes to clean up with this rider! The 18' turn radius is also nice for a mower of this size, you can just get in real tight to shrubs, trees, and other plants. Am very happy with this rider, and am considering one of Troy Bilt's 4 cycle grass trimmers as my next purchase. Would highly recommend this rider to anyone looking for the best bang for the buck!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mulch Kit WARNING, 2015 Bronco manual is WRONG # The mulch kit that is listed in the manual for the 2015 Bronco is the WRONG one. The one listed in the manual is for models that were made from 2010-2014. It absolutely will not fit the 2015. You need the mulch plug that is dated "2012-"

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Need parts (mulch kit) I bought this mower yesterday and also purchased the mulch kit. I put the blades on with no problem, but the part that replaces the Shute does not fit. I took it back to Lowes and they said that there was no kit for this mower ( bronco 2015). What am I to do???????????

Rated 2 out of 5 by from GAS IN THE CRANKCASE HAD A STARTING PROBLEM SIMILARY TO HYDROLOCK ON RADIAL AIRCRAFT ENGINES. ENGINE SUDDENLY SMOKED BADLY WHEN OPERATING ON A SIDE SLOPE. THEN IT BAGAN SMOKING BADLY ON LEVEL GROUND. FOUND MY CRANKCASE FILL WITH GAS. I ADDED A GAS SHUTOFF VALVE WHEN NOT OPERATING BUT THIS DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. UNLESS I TURN OFF GAS SHUTOFF VALVE AND LET THE ENGINE RUN UNTIL IT'S OUT OF GAS, THE ENGINE WILL NOT TURN OVER IN ONE LOCATION. NOW IT APPEARS THE GAS IS ADDED DURING ENGINE OPERATION. DRAINED GAS FROM THE ENGINE TWICE MORE. NOW I CARRY A FIRE EXTINGUISHER WITH ME WHILE MOWING.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would NOT buy this mower again This is the first Troy built I've owned and it's the second summer I have owned this mower. Here's what I like...it's fast and the turning radius is good. I think the safety features are good, especially the way you have to turn the key and push a button to be able to mow in reverse. What I don't like...starting tomorrow I will be draining the gasoline from the crankcase and the flooded cylinders for the 3rd time. Apparently the needle or the seat in the carb on my model continues to stick and fills the crankcase and the cylinders with as much gas as they will hold. The engine locks up and I have to drain everything and refill the crankcase with oil before it will start again. At the end of the summer last year I had to replace carb parts. I don't care how durable it is, don't care how easy it is to start or use, don't care how safe it is, if you have to do this with your mower as frequently as I do, it's just not worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Information Unfortunately troy bilt does not manufacture these units with the option of cutting in revers anymore. Due to safety reasons. Only if you are very very mechanically inclined, I also would not recommend trying to "rig" the unit to cut in reverse. May void your warranty

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Every time we use this mower, something it breaks. 2nd time we used it the motor disenegrated. Warranty covered that but now it is out of warrantyand the motor disenegrated again. Probably less than 24 running hours on it. In the shop more than out and constantly breaking ball joints and steering gears, which I was buying in bulk. I won't get it fixed this time and will buy a better made product. Never again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bronco Lawn Tractor Very nice tractor. I like the way it handles. I do wish it cut the grass in reverse. Starts easy, handles easy. Less vibration would have been nice. Overall a nice mower. i would recommend to my friends.
