Rated 4 out of 5 by from Previously had an 8-HP Horse I bought the new tiller because my wife wanted one that she could operate. I've used it a few times and wish that it was as easy to operate as the Horse. It wants to "take off" unless DILIGENT care is taken to prevent it. Even then, it's somewhat of a dicey operation. A couple of times I've almost gone through the fence around the garden. But I suppose that I'll eventually learn its tricks and how to overcome them. I also wish that there was a throttle on the handlebar.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not your old pony for sure I had a pony for 20 years and it worked like a horse,Never had any problems and could run it with one hand like advertised. This new one I bought last year is terrible. It bucks all over the place. The first time I used it,it tore up my rotor cuff in my shoulder. The second time,it through me over the tiller and tore up my other rotor cuff.I had to go to therapy to fix it.Add that to the high cost of this tiller and it was definitely not worth it.My garden is full of rocks and always has been.I'm afraid to use it now. What a shame that this product is ruined. If you have just sand or rock free loamy soil, this might work for you but doesn't for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use This tiller was so easy to use from start up to storage. For the 1st time, my garden looks a little professional! More importantly, the quality of the soil has improved greatly. This tiller has changed my gardening life!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Troy/Built Tiller, I Love It !!! I have used my tiller every year since I bought it in 2005 !!! Its never failed to start, and it runs like a top !!! I've always had from a 1/2 acre to an acre garden and it tills it up really good . Its so easy to plant after I till it up, its always about 6 to 8 inches deep, I just love it !!!! I had to change my belts this year after 13 yrs, not bad, they was easy to change and I got my garden out again. The belt was the first thing that has happened to my tiller since I bought it !!! I would recommend a Troy/Built Tiller to anyone young or old, I'm 76 years old and its really easy to start and use. Its really well built and heavy duty, if you take care of it it will last you a long time !!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible tiller- Do not buy This tiller has no Depth control. Gear driven wheels can not hold tiller from going forward. The balance is incorrect to keep tiller wheels on the ground when tilling deeper. That does not matter because you will have till the space 10 tens to get any depth and by then the depth control is set to allow the tines to go that depth. Very disappointed with a tiller of this cost. Do not purchase unless your ground is light, and has sand content.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OK ..everything seems to be fine..still mad about tires and wheels..mine has two left-hand wheels..air valve is on inside of one wheel.. aside from that everything is OK..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Duh ..did the set up tasks..oil,gas,etc..checking the air in valve on the outside of rim where it belongs..on the other side air valve on the inside of rim..real pain to get to..only way to fix is take tire off rim and reverse the tire..I guess there is a right hand facing tire and rim and a left..I got two left hand wheels..not a big deal but air valve should be on outside of both wheels..the thread make it useless to just take wheel off turn it around.
