Rated 3 out of 5 by from Drive Wheels I have had this mower for 5 years and it has never failed to start and is easy to adjust the cutting height. My only compliant is that the front drive wheels wear so quickly. I will have to replace them for the forth time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great I am so very happy with this product and like how it has the electric start feature

Rated 2 out of 5 by from disappointment It works well enough when it's running ok, but I've had to take it in for service at least 3 times and have had to replace the battery. I use ethanol-free gas with carburetor cleaner and do everything the mower shop says to do, but I have to keep taking it back in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good mower I just bought my second electric start, self-propelled walk behind mower from Troy-Built. My first was purchased 6 years ago and still performing so nicely that I passed it along to one of my daughters. Both the electric start and the self-propelled features have been excellent. Changing the height setting is particularly easy. The only issue I have with these mowers (and every rear-catch mower I have ever owned) is that the mower starts clogging and spitting cut grass well before the bag is full. This happens no matter how dry the grass is or how high or low my cut is. This has frustrated me for over 40 years. I surely am not alone.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great features This is my second one of the same model. Disappointed the first only lasted 4 years before everything went wrong with it. I mean everything. Engine wouldn't start, pull cord broke loose from engine, short life of battery, and other problems. But I had faith in this model so I bought another of the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Right! Have only owned this machine for a little over 6 weeks but, so far anyway, it is real beast! Mows through tough, tall grass like a charm even when using the self propel function. My wife likes electric start and the varying speed control....if you pull it all the way in, you'll end up racing to keep up! Maintenance looks to be easy, controls and engineering clean and clever....think we'll have this one for awhile.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nothing Can Replace Capability of Electric Start We are in our second season using the Troy-Bilt front-wheel, self-propelled, electric start lawn mower. The machine has been dependable and keeps our lawn well-trimmed. A sharpened blade and a change of oil every two months or so keeps this mower and its engine functioning like new. Our home is in a mountainous area. The lawn not only slopes uphill or downhill but slopes perpendicularly at the same time. Sometimes it is difficult to control the variable self-propelling action when the lawn slopes perpendicular to the mower movement. The electric start is an outstanding feature compared to pulling a rope to engage the engine. We opted to use the mulching capabilities of the mower rather than bagging grass clippings. As long as the before mowing grass height remains below 4 inches, the mulching is a super feature nourishing the lawn at the same time. If there was one feature to improve upon, it would be the front wheel drive. Our property slopes which is why we purchased a self-propelled mower . This writer tries to vary the mowing pattern time to time. When ascending a slope, the front wheel drive seems to lose traction. My previous mower was rear-propelled and this writer did not experience a loss of traction. Other than that one shortcoming we are very impressed with the mower's capabilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent machine I bought this lawn mower a year ago and you just turn the key and starts up right away and runs great.
