Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's a great snow clogger. With the amount of troubleshooting I've needed to do to get it started, keep it running, and stop the paddles every 15 seconds to clear the clogged chute, I'd be better off just shoveling. I bought mine second-hand, so it's starting issues are explainable in that it had gone unused for some time before I'd bought it. It was in excellent condition with some wear and tear on the paddles and that's it. Still, it's only 2 years old, tops, and the man that I bought it from said that he'd only used it a handful of times before upgrading to a larger snowblower. It appears that the fuel injector on the carburetor gets gummed up fairly easily, which effects its ability to start and run smoothly. In order to start it, no matter how recently I've used it, I have to take off the plastic carburetor guard, remove the fuel line, and remove the fuel bowl at the bottom of the carburetor to clean everything. If you do this, be careful to ensure that the thin rubber gasket at the top of the bowl stays in place (easier said than done), or else you'll be leaking fuel all over the place. Also, before each start, I have to spray Kwik-Start into the air intake...which still requires the plastic guard to be removed. It's only two nuts, so it's not complicated, but it's still a pain to have to do every time. Finally, once the thing is running, if the snow is even slightly wet, the chute gets clogged up and the paddles just spray the snow forward across the ground. It still clears the snow, but you'll have to either continually go over the sprayed areas again or just bust out the shovel. I'll give Troy Bilt and the snowblower credit as far as the engine starting and running issues, since mine is second-hand. It probably either needs a new carburetor or just to have some liquid mechanic run through it to clean out all the lines. The clogging issue, though? Unacceptable. What good is having a snowblower if my gloved fingers go numb from having to continually reach into the chute to clear out a clog every 15 seconds (without the paddles rotating, of course)? Even if the engine ran beautifully, the chute would still get clogged unless the snow is so light and dry that not a snowball could be made. I can't afford an upgrade right now, so I'm going to have to stick with this one and make it work. At least I'm learning more about engines. I'm sure my neighbors have enjoyed the show of my gradually mounting frustrations showing as I spend all of my will-power avoiding kicking the thing when it clogs for the 20th time in 8 minutes. Don't buy it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the $$$ This machine is not worth the cardboard box it came in. Worked once, quit, and hasn't run since. Retailer will not stand behind the product. A complete waste.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy use Auger system throws well, clean surface, powerful for size. Wish it was quieter, customer support basically said to bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back and time saver I wanted a snow blower so bad and after shopping around, I finally bought this one and I am SO VERY HAPPY I did! This snow blower works wonders! I was so excited using it, that the first time I used it, I removed snow from my driveway and sidewalk and then my two neighbors'. This snow blower is awesome and I am having a joyful time using it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this snow blower! We have had this snow blower for about 4 years. We live in Pennsylvania where we get a lot of snow and sometimes it’s wet and heavy. The Troybilt snow thrower does a great job. It cleans our driveway and walks right down to the cement.
