Rated 3 out of 5 by from the bag is the biggest drawback Works very well for dry leaves and so-so with wet. Biggest benefit is it mulches them and you can get more leaves in less bags. Somewhat cumbersome to remove bag and empty, but the biggest problem is the handle clip on the bag. Started ripping the first time I used it. Have read many reviews claiming same. I was very careful with it, and babied it along for a couple of years and this year it just ripped all the way off....even without being used to lift the bag. Very disappointing and the replacement bags are quite expensive for the quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Starts every time I bought this chipper- Vac 8 years ago and it has never failed me yet it picks up even wet leaves and shreds everything to powder as well as small tree branches that the wind always seem blow down it's a true life saver in the Fall

Rated 4 out of 5 by from vacuum hose the vacuum hose is ribbed, which catches small twigs and clogs the hose. my recommendation is to change the hose to a smooth bore.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does a very good job I vacuumed 3 lots. 16, 60 gallon bags. Did a good job. A little hard to start for a senior. Takes some pulls. The hose system is a bit awkward, but gets easier with use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from it shreds leaves really well and cuts them up real I bought this about three months ago but it doesn't work for us as a vacuum because we don't have any grass and our ground is uneven the hose part works well as long as you go slow otherwise it plugs up and when I put a stick in the shredder tube it blows the pieces right back out / it is losing a lot of vacuum power out the tube and I ask the tech about plugging the tube up, but understandably he couldn't tell me to do that / I think if we had grass or concrete this machine would work very well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Valuable lawn tool Love the product and what it does, but I am having trouble starting this item. I must use an engine starting product (ether based) in order to start. That is my only concern, everything else is fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like the versatility Works good for those small jobs and the fact that it Chips, vacuums with a hose or the pick up in front is awesome.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It needs some updates and improvements The collection bag closes by two small metal twist-type connectors. These are weak and can break off easily. I've already gone through two bags because of this. The warranty does not cover them. Poor design. The bags seem durable but the closing connectors are far too flimsy. Also, the metal rod that holds the front hood onto the deck depends on two small metal caps on either end to keep it held in place. These caps fall off of the rod easily and get lost. You have to go to the hardware store and buy a package of replacements. This design needs rethinking as well. Also, the collection bag fills from the bottom. It needs a redesign to fill from the middle, or top, if possible. The slightest dampness on the leaves, when vacuuming, prevents the bag from being able to fill more than partially which increases the chore of using the device as you must then empty it much more frequently. It starts quickly and runs well. The vacuum strength isn't sufficient to pick up more than about 30-45% of the leaves without first raking them to separate the leaves. It's a great unit, if it's a First Generation attempt to create such a unit, but a 2.0 version really needs some design improvements to make it a truly great device. If you use the shredder function, then it dulls the blade too much to fully shred leaves as it needs to. The blade needs to remain sharper for longer or a second blade needs to cut up small branches, so that the main blade remains sharp to shred leaves.
