Rated 5 out of 5 by from gets the job done this is the first year i needed a cultivator and my wife sugested electric for the enviorment. Im not a ultra green guy but to keep the peace I gave this one a try. As long as you clear the bigger rocks out by hand this machine works great. Now its wait time for the veggies!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh my gosh! For years I have been turning my little garden plot with a pitch fork. I purchased this little cultivator and wow! It may be little, but it works as hard, if not harder, than it's huge counterparts. I am so glad I did my research and chose this one. It plowed through weeds and rocks with no problem. What a little brute! I will highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you Troy Bilt. It will make gardening easier this year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the cost I had an old garden that I wanted to start using again, It did such a good job on the old part that I decided to make the garden larger, once I started tilling in the new area I had to "work" harder but the little cultivator did handle the sod and small roots. As long as you don't have a lot of sod busting to do, I think you would be happy with this cultivator, and it is much better than turning over a garden buy hand like I had been doing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Electric Cultivartor Plenty of power. Tills 9” deep with no problem. Powerful enough to breakup new sod. Its great for weeding, getting into tight places. Its small size lets me grow more because the rows can be closer together. I also use it to build up raised beds in the low side of my garden. It works but I wish it had a little higher rpm for this task. I used to have a gas powered one (which wore out after about 20 years of gardening) that had the higher rpm and worked really great for this task. All in all it’s a great tool and if it died I would rush to buy another one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WONDERFUL!! I'm 60 and need 2 knee replacements. I also have a bad back. This machine is GREAT!! I don't have to sit around and wait for my husband to till my garden and no more weed pulling in my flower garden. Can't say enough about this product. It does exactly what it say it will do.I had my vegetable garden tilled in 30 minutes ready to plant!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TB154E CULTIVATOR . . . GREAT I have had this cultivator for 4 years. It is very powerful and reliable. Never had any problems with it. The tines are easily removed to clean and untangle wire or whatever might get tangled up in them. Would highly recommend this little cultivator to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small But Powerful I bought this for my husband because he likes to plant a small garden in our backyard. He loves it! It was just what he needed to till up a small patch of ground for his garden.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cultivator I have owned the little 2 cycle heavily advertised tiller since the early 1990's. After ongoing problems I decided to purchase the Troy Bilt Electric Cultivator. Wow! There is so much less noise, as far as I can see there is no difference in performance of the electric over the two cycle engine, it is less expensive and not near the hassle of the 2 cycle. Buy it, of course be sure you are in range of an electric outlet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wife to the rescue.... One day while planning to cultivate a some what large area of my lawn to get rid of weeds, I first purchase a Weed weasel (handtool) that has 4 rotating spike blades for around 20 bucks so I figured that was the best and cheapest way to cultivate my lawn to plant seeds. BOY WAS I WRONG! I stand 6ft tall the hand tool was about 3ft long, so my back was killing me and mind you I never had any problems with my back, just to do an area approximately 6' x 6' in about 1 1/2 hour. WELL, my wife saw me working my buns off and told me that wasn't there a better and easier tool that would do the job? So I started to do some research and found Troybilts Electric Tiller/ Cultivator and I found it at a home improvement center. My wife purchased it for me, I set it up, I immediately used it and WOW! So much power! I was able to do my WHOLE front yard within an hour, and didn't break a sweat. This machine tore up the ground 4 to 6 inches deep with no problem and broke thru roots with no problem and since its height adjustable for the user, my back didn't bother me. I was truly amazed with this machine. It was so much fun and was so easy to use, decided to do my back yard which was bigger than my front yard in about the same amount of time. Word of caution though, once you start you never want to stop. I must say it's a tough little machine. The price was money well spent. Only once the machine stalled on a large piece of root that measured 2 inches thick and was resolved with a hand axe and the machines blades were cleared easily and unharmed and good to go! I would definitely recommed this PRODUCT to any DO IT YOURSELFERS (firsttimers) THANKS HONEY! and of course TROY BILT........

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this electric tiller I've had it all summer. I'm 68,arthritic,and pretty hefty, But this thing will give me 20 more years of gardening joy! I have another tiller, gas. This one starts no problem, it's heavy enough I don't have to push down on it at all. It simply churns up even the toughist ground. If it encounters a buried piece of metal stake or several feet of buried dog fence wire, it stops before winding it around the axel. I simply up end it and take the mess out. I think Medicare should pay for these instead of all those blooming scooters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish I bought this sooner!!! After doing some research and reading the reviews of this cultivator, I decided to purchase it. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner! I was worried that I would not be able to handle it, as my upper body strength is not good. Growing up, my father had a cultivator of another brand that I tried to use once when he was getting our garden ready. It was impossible for me. But not this one! In a matter of a few minutes I had completely tilled a small part of my yard which was meant to be a planting bed but the grass had grown into it. This was pretty much undistrubed soil, as I hadn't planted anything there for several years, but this cultivator had NO PROBLEM getting through it. I didn't rate this on durability because I only just got it and so I don't know how it will stand up long term. But I do know that I LOVE this machine and can't wait to use it in my big garden next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ditto I bought this after reading reviews that were not too complimary, i.e. tines broke easy, etc. I have found that it actually spits out to the side large pepples and is super easy to use. Buy it...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded my expecations I was looking for a smaller tiller and ran across this in a large chain store. I expected this to only scratch the surface of the dirt and mix in only a shallow top layer ... I was wrong! This little machine is stronger than I expected. It had no problem tilling at least 10" deep. I was so happy with the performance that I not only tilled the two large flower beds, I also tacked a larger garden area, underneath the tree and along the side of my house. Very happy with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product!! I purchased this little tiller about a year ago and have now used it to till up my little garden space twice. It was great to start with just getting the weeds out of the spot before hand and then I bring in bagged garden soil to combine. It makes very deep till lines and mixes up the garden soil and the regular soil very well and mixed it evenly. I was amazed at the power and depth of this little machine! And I’ve had a TroyBilt 5Hp Pony before. This little ol’ electric cultivator work was almost equal. In my opinion, that is saying something! I would definitely recommend this item to a friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Raised Beds This little tiller is just perfect for my raised garden beds. It is light enough to lift into the beds and powerful enough to till in mulch all the way to the bottom. Leaves me with nice garden dirt every time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My "Little Mule" This cultivator is amazing. Plenty of power, easy to maintain and manuever, and it does the job well. I have used many TB tillers over the years but this is by far my favorite for a family size garden. I tried a friend's cultivator (not TB) and it bounced up and down and didn't do any work. My male neighbors stop and watch whenever I bring out my Little Mule and they are amazed too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Purchase I bought this cultivator so I didn't have to weed my small garden by hand. I knew from my experience of years ago that using a roto tiller was the way for me to go. I bought the electric cultivator because I need to have the ease of starting. Used it after I got home from purchase and was not disappointed. It is a great help to me in my garden. I am very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tiller We bought this tiller for a small garden and flower beds it works excellent. Its so nice not having to deal with another engine just plug it in and go..!! It works best in already tilled dirt I do wonder if putting extra weight on it would help it dig better on sodded soil. Overall great tiller for price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for Small Gardens I am a single lady and didnt want the hassle of a cultivator where you must purchase gas and oil to operate it. For the money it is great for an already-tilled small area that you want to keep weed free and soil refreshed during plantings. I have only had it about 2 months and so far, pretty good! Very easy to assemble - I did it totally on my own and loved the way it shipped in a very self contained package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good I bought this little machine because I got tired of pulling on ropes, mixing gas and oil, running to the gas station to start my wifes little red 2 cycle cultivator. But the electric Troy Built solved all of my problems, and my wife just loves it. Happy wife.........Happy life!
